Hawkfield Manor lamb is always grassfed, grass finished. It is raised on our farm from bottle babies with care and respect their whole lives. We have our lamb processed at just under 11 months old, at a facility an hour away; it is packaged and labeled per our family farm practices. Our cuts are smaller portions than you may find in stores for lamb. Our primary breed is Kathadins, and by nature they are a smaller breed of sheep...but also this is the nature of a grass finished product. They aren't penned and grained their final days of life - they were on pasture until the morning they were loaded and processed.
